Get to know the wines with local enologists, and join the cooking demonstration with talented chefs. Meander through the abandoned stone villages of the Soria Highlands, and explore the wild truffle beds with private guides and their expert truffle dogs.

Hotel accommodations have been chosen with care, for their historic value and the excellent services provided—with at least 2 nights at each hotel to respect a winter pace.

It's our pleasure to dine as guests with four different chefs of this region, demonstrating their technical skills and imaginations, elucidating the ephemeral aromas of this amazing fungus in both sophisticated and simple presentations, drawing on the rich culinary traditions of Castille & Leon.

We take care of:

  • All the transportation starting from and returning to Madrid, departing Sunday morning, Feb. 4
  • Hotel accommodations with breakfast for 7 nights

  • 2 private Truffle hunts, in cultivated and in wild areas

  • All luncheons for 7 days including 5 Truffle Feasts with regional wines

  • Guided visits to the city of Soria,  and the Castle of Berlanga de Duero

  • Excursion to the limestone canyons of La Fuentona and nearby medieval towns

  • Excursion to the Soria Highlands and the old stone villages of this region

  • "Cooking with truffles" hands-on with one of Soria’s great chefs

A deposit of $500 will reserve your place.

The Truffle Tour language will be English but you’ll have many opportunities to join-in with your Spanish!


José Santana joins us as an expert guide

A true lover of nature and the rich rural culture of his ancestral village, José Santana combines his passion for his native Soria with his investigative and didactic capacities. His keen observational nature and curiosity led him to pursue a doctoral degree in Agricultural Engineering with a specialty in plant genetics.

In 2013 José established his own business SORBUS Medio Ambiente (SORBUS Environmental Services) dedicated to promoting greater appreciation of the biodiversity and cultural knowledge of plants, fungi and animals in his region of Soria and Burgos through educational workshops, programs and guided walks.

This business supports rural development by offering scientific and technical expertise to quality woodland projects in the provinces. José loves to share his knowledge and ideas and is a frequent and lively guest speaker on local radio programs.
